Mattress Makes A Difference

Have you ever had enough time to sleep but have not been able to sleep? Have you woken up after a full night’s sleep, still feeling tired? This could be because you have not slept well. just because you sleep 8 – 10 hours a night, does not mean you are sleeping well. even if you sleep for 6 hours a night, you should wake up feeling refreshed and well rested, only then have you “slept well”.

So Why?

So, why are you not able to sleep well? It could be a number of reasons.

Smart Phones

One of the top reasons in the recent surveys, is the use of mobile phones in bed. If you are in the habit of browsing on your phone before you sleep, you could be setting yourself up for big trouble in the future.

The blue light generated by our phones stimulates the brain and does not let it sleep. Hence you wake up in the middle of the night or find it difficult to sleep full, all through the night.

Night Routine

If you have a night time routine that involves you getting pumped up, like partying or exercising well after dinner time, it could disturb your sleep. It had your adrenaline rushing, which prevents your body from relaxing and letting you sleep well.

Having a routine before you go to bed could also help. After a few days, your body will be tuned to sleep once you start this routine.

Mattress

The mattress you sleep on matters more than you can imagine. If you have noticed, you tend to sleep better in some hotels while other hotel beds would have given you a stiff back or neck. This is because of the mattress used. I got a better night’s sleep on a bamboo mattress because it offered very good support to my back and was less toxin than the regular foam mattresses.
